  • Subiect: Again About Buliga Lupu from Ciovârnăşani, Mehedinţi County, Great Captain of Dorobants and Great Again the Time of Matei Basarab and Artilerie The Beginning of The Reign to Constantin Şerban The present study reconstructs, on the basis of existing sources, documentary and narrative, the life and activity of a modest wallachian boyar from the first half of the 17th century, from Ciovârnăşani-Mehedinţi, Buliga, also called "Wolf". During the reign of Matei Basarab (1632-1654), Buliga was a great captain of the dorbants/trabants (1647-1648, 1650-1652), who were one of the important military bodies of Wallachia at that time. Subsequently, at the beginning of the reign of Constantin Şerban (1654- 1658) Buliga Lupul held the great aga, the commander of the pedestrian troops. In this study we try to reconstruct, based on internal documents, not only the military career of this military commander, but also his land patrimony.
