  • Subiect: In the historical gallery of the Romanian ladies who have lived during the Modern times, which contains such different personalities, we can outline a common feature for all of them: the feeling of profoundly patriotism as well as the unlimited sacrifice force for the commonly well. Such ladies existed in the old Kretzulescu Romanian family and then later in the Lahovary family, with whom they have related since the 19th century. The aim of this study is to present three ladies of this family: Sofia Kretzulescu, the wife of doctor Nicolae Kretzulescu, her daughter Anna Lahovary and her niece, Maria-Nicola Lahovary Plagino, known as Colette Lahovary-Plagino.
