• Subiect: The goal of this paper is to present a new iron akinakes, discovered by chance, before 1989, in Năsal village, at "Gospodar" location. In the last few decades the discovery and the integration in the scientific circle of such objects are extremely rare in the Romanian, and especially in the Transylvanian archaeology, studying the late Hallstatt Age. The akinakes is relatively well preserved. It can be framed in the Delenii type, the decorative motifs being present only on one side (Pl. III). Considering the analogies with other Delenii type objects, the akinakes from Năsal is dated in the first half of the 6th century BC. The object is very likely to came from a warrior's grave. The presence in this area of a new Scythian discovery, after an iron akinakes accidentally discovered at the beginning of the 20th century (Pl. IV/B), is determining us to consider the possibility that in the area could be a Scythian type necropolis.
