Campanii electorale comitatense şi dezbateri congregaţionale în comitatul Arad între anii 1895-1913

  • Subiect: Summarizing the political life's evolution from the county of Arad between 1895 and 1913, we may notice the large variety of concerns that local leaders of the Romanian National Party had. In the period, when the working of the Romanian National Party was forbidden by the Hungarian government and the party didn't have representatives in the legislative organism of Hungary, the inhabitants from Arad realized the decentralization of the Romanian National Party activity, forming the regional county club of the national party that had the role of the local political party. The political fights were directed, at a county level, by the population's stimulation in the elections for the county's congregation and the effective participations to the dispute that took place at the local administrative forum's sessions. The Romanians from the county's congregation of the Arad county have fought the abuses and the acts of corruption of the local administration, they have pronounced themselves, at their meetings, for the rejection of the Hungarian national army, they have fought for the introduction of the Romanian language as a formal language. The approaches of the Romanian leaders from Arad have contributed to the recognition and then to the maintaining of Arad as one of the main centres of the political life from Transylvania, a statute that Arad will keep it until the unification from 1918.
