  • Subiect: Our article illustrates the way in which the 23rd August manifestation has gradually been transformed into an instrument of promoting Nicolae Ceauşescu's cult of personality, taking into consideration the evolution of the organizational elements and the content of the propagandistic material used. The analysis emphasizes on one part, the thematic diversification and organizational sophistication of the cultic elements and on the other side, the gradual process of including them during this manifestation.
