Descoperiri din a doua epocă a fierului (sec. III-II a. Chr.) de la Polus Center (com. Floreşti, jud. Cluj)

  • Subiect: The archaeological findings presented here were the result of a rescue excavation, near Cluj-Napoca, in Floreşti (Cluj county), where a commercial complex was to be built, Polus Center. On the area of the future mall, among other discoveries from Neolithic to Medieval Age, habitat complexes from the second Iron Age were discovered. From the chronological point of view, because the material was mostly ceramic, the complexes are dated from the 3rd century B.C. to the 2nd century B.C. In a particular case, the Hut 1, the iron fibulas could indicate a habitation during only in the last part of this period, in the 2nd century B.C. The massive percent of the pottery and the lack of other specific material are the reasons why an ethnic attribution is difficult to make, between autochthons, of Thracian origins, and foreigners, the Celts.
