Subiect: The paper tries to reveal some essential aspects of Roman funeral imaginary in the time of Augustus analysing a few fragments referring to "the World Beyond". The study also pointed out the level of receptivity of these images: Vergilius and the elite of the time, general considerations of "funeral geography" of the citizens.
