Familia şi rezistenţa anticomunistă din Munţii României

  • Subiect: The first part of the study deals with the causes that generated the resistance against communism in Romania beginning with the second period of the 40s until the beginning of the 60s. Here are some of them: the substitution of the Romanian political system during the interwar period by the communist regime; the forced nationalization in the economic field; the illusion of Romanian liberation by the democratic western powers (such as USA). From a spatial point of view, the armed resistance against communism at the end of the Second World War preferred the Romanian mountains and hills, where they could have found superior condition for food, hiding and habitat. This kind of resistance was rather disorganized (small groups up to 40 people). In the second part of this approach the author tried to reveal the role of the family as a social, political and economic structure as a cell of the fight against communism. The family is regarded as an active factor of the resistance and also as a cell of the rural community integrated in the resistance movement. From this perspective, the study is concerned about the resistance in Huedin, Făgăraş, Southern part of Bana, Zarand and the neighbourhood. The conclusion is that the family played a very important part in the resistance movement against communism. The members of the resistance group had to be very united so this solidarity was necessary to be found between the family members.
