Ceramica dacică de la Floreşti - "Cetatea Fetei" (jud. Cluj)

  • Subiect: The "Cetatea Fetei" hill is located on the right side of the "Someşul Rece" river, south of Floreşti village. The archaeological diggings carried out at the medieval fortress (13th-14th centuries A. D.) in 1990 revealed also fragments of Dacian pottery. These are the object of the paper. Both hand-and wheel made, the found pottery can be traced back to the period between the 1st century B. C. - 1st century A. D. Because of the shape of the "Cetatea Fetei" hill, we can assume that there was been a Dacian fortress, destroyed during the construction of the medieval one. The only traces that prove this assumption are the found fragments of Dacian pottery.
