  • Subiect: FUNERAL CUSTOMS IN BOGDAN l'S CUHEA The present approach intends to analyse the funeral rite from Cuhea - Maramures from the view of geneppian's reading grate of the funeral ceremonial sequences. It was started from the premise of universality of death, and from the idea, brought into credit by the religious speech, regarding the unknowing the moment of death. There are presented all the rite moments specific to the ceremonial and of the social meaning that rests on. A special consideration is given to the funerals of unmarried teens, and to the dirge which preserves valuable traditional elements. In the same measure, the beliefs' segment related to the death is examined, which, together with funeral poetical elements, contribute to the outlining an imaginary of death and posthumous spaces.
