  • Subiect: The Cărămidarii de Jos Outskirts The Cărămidarii de Jos outskirt was among the areas demolished during the communist epoch. Starting with the year 1970, blocks of flats have been built there as part of the Tineretului quarter. The only remnant of a dense history is the still standing church and its surrounding buildings dating, however, from the 20th century. The present study aims at configurating the past of the old area - as a part of the old Bucharest, and a representative sample of what was once the life at the very limits of the town.
