Manifestări antirevizioniste în Valea Jiului în Deceniul patru al secolului XX

  • Subiect: The fourth decade of the 20th century is the history of Europe and the world was the period in which, quoting W. Churchill, "the victors began to forget and the defeated to remember", opposite attitudes which, corroborated would eventually lead to the outbreak of World War Two. The tendency of border changing in Europe and beyond will become order of the day. Romania was among the states most affected by this tendency. Consequently, Romania would try to create an European atmosphere which would block such trends and at the same time to mobilize the Romanian public. Particularly active in this respect was the Romanian Anti-Revision League. In the Jiu Valley, an ethnically heterogeneous region there is a constant attitude of rejecting the revisionist tendencies of the Hungarian irredentism.
