  • Subiect: The fortified settlements were strong strategic points with defence, also economic and not the last, religious functions, around whom gravitated the civil settlements from proximity, on larger or more limited area. Up to now the observation were saw in most fortified settlements had piled dwellings up one another didn't have at least seemingly a coherent as part of on the fortified premises. Nevertheless at some settlements (Arpaşu de Sus, Brad, Pecica and Popeşti) it was possible to observe a lent of urbanism, due to dwellings who were disposed either depending on a more important dwelling, a square or others edifices of the community, religious or another nature.
