Materiale arheologice aparţinînd bronzului timpuriu în colecţia muzeului din Deva

  • Subiect: This study is aimed at identifying some artifacts in the archaeological collection belonging to the Deva museum. It is a matter of ten settlements with discoveries concerning the Early Bronze Age. Among these archaeological materials from the Hunedoara places are Ardeu, Băiţa, Cârjiţi, Măgura, Streisângeorgiu, Turdaş and also Berghin (Alba County) that are illustrative of the cultural group of Şoimuş from the Early Bronze Age. The new seven settlements with archaeological discoveries of the Şoimuş type throw light upon this manifestation and tend to define its spreading area. According to the scanty number of potsherds, the other three aspects of the materials cannot be bestowed on for a certainty of an archaeological culture. Crăciuneşti pottery laid analogies in groups such as: Roşia, Copăceni and Livezile. Some potsherds from Turda have got common ornaments for the cultural manifestation of the Early Bronza Age. There is some appropriations of the Şoimuş Group and of the Schneckenberg Culture.
