Atitudinea autorităţilor habsburgice faţă de emigrările din Transilvania reflectată în cîteva documente de arhivă

  • Subiect: The article is based upon some documents at the Deva State Archives. These documents are referred to the measures took by the authorities in the view of stopping or at least reducing the number of emigrants from Transylvania to Moldavia and Wallachia. The Wien Court, since 1739, ordered to the Transylvanian Government to dam up these emigrations. Among the measures took by the Austrians we remind here: the organization of the frontier guard’s troop, jail for the instigators at running away, money rewards for the denouncing the runaways and so forth. Despite all these measures, the phenomenon will go on in the next decade and in the next century.
