Momente din viaţa şi activitatea mitropolitului Andrei Şaguna (1808-1873)

  • Subiect: This is a brief reminder of some important aspects concerning the life and activity of Metropolitan Andrei Şaguna, considered as one of the most remarkable personalities of the Romanian Orthodox Church Transylvania, in the 19th century. It was presented especially his political, cultural, didactic activity as well as the religious one. He is considered a protector of the national rights of the Romanian people, also a genuine scholar. The year 1998 represents the commemoration of 125 years since his death, that is why we considered right to remind some biographical sequences, as well as some scholastic ones, concerning the great Romanian metropolitan.
