Un atelier de olărie (La Tene) descoperit la Biharea

  • Subiect: There are presented the la Tene discoveries from Biharea revealed by the researches made in this archaeological station in the summer of 1977. There have been discovered the remnants of a LT pottery shed consisting of a hollow with loam (clay) in it, tempered for pot-moulding and left unused in antiquity. Nearby there has been discovered a Manching-type bone instrument for pot-moulding (Knochenstempel) by stamping and a lot of pottery (ceramics) that can be classified as follows: a) fine paste pottery worked at the wheel (Die Glatte Drehscheiben Keramik) which also can be subdivided into: grey or blackish-grey pottery and yellowish pottery. b) pottery worked at the wheel or hand pottery (very little) made of fine paste and graphite (Die Graphiton-Keramik) having two subdivisions: I. black pottery having graphite in its paste from which there have been made, especially, jar-pots decorated with streaks (Kammstrichverzierte Graphitonkeramik). 2. grey pottery of different murky hues having a stratum of graphite over its paste. We preliminarily propose, up to new discoveries, the dating of the above mentioned archaeological realities in the II c. B.C., possibly up to the beginning of the I c. B.C.
