Materiale neo-eneolitice descoperite în Ţara Haţegului

  • Subiect: The paper consists of a repertoire of discoveries, resulting from surface researches. Generally, the objects belong to the middle Neolithic and late Eneolithic. One found out at Hăţăgel, Peşteniţa and Rîul Alb some ceramic fragments from the end of the middle Neolithic, which unequivocally attest a relationship with the central area of the Banat. There might have been links through the Bistra valley, where an important commercial way might have existed, along which the Transylvanian salt was transported to the Central Banat. The discoveries concerning the Tiszapolgar culture, which raise chronological problems and suppose cultural relations between the Tiszapolgar and Petreşti cultures, are also important. Ţara Haţegului requires a thorough research meant to clarify the problems of the Neolithic in that important passage area linking Banat, Oltenia and Transylvania.
