Subiect: Lithic assemblages containing leaf points have been assigned to different cultural contexts (Solutrean, Szeletian, Mousterian, transitional industries), following an evolutionary conceptual scheme that misled all assumptions concerning this issue. The present article aims to present some of the main contributions belonging to Romanian archeologists, as well as to suggest future approaches regarding methods for identifying the cultural identity of such items.
