Ultimele zile de neutralitate, primele săptămâni ale primului război mondial, descrise în memoriile sublocotenentului Ghinea din regimentul 24 artilerie al armatei de nord

  • Subiect: The neutrality period from the 1st of July and l5th/28th of August 1916 and the beginning of the campaign for the freeing of Transylvania is depicted by the artillery junior lieutenant Ghinea, from the Moldavian village of Cârlomăneşti. The junior lieutenant Ghinea was the deputy commander of the 3rd Battery, 1st Division, from the 24th Regiment of Artillery. These units and sub-units were part of the 4th Army or The North Army, leaded by General Prezan. In his diary, the junior lieutenant Ghinea describes the state of mind of the soldiers and officers, prior to going to war and then their enthusiasm at the crossing of the border. The main part of the diary is written in the little town of Topliţa, up to where its artillery sub-unit advanced. The diary is a valuable contribution to the knowledge of facts and events from the First World War.
