• Subiect: The New History (La Nouvelle histoire) grouped around the magazine "Les Annales", created in 1929 at Strasbourg, having important representatives such as Lucien Febvre, Marc Bloch, Jacques Le Goff, Jean Delumeau etc., lent an overall dimension to the historical research, thus emphasizing the modalities through which the members of the formal societies perceived the world, life history as well as the system of values which, in the end, marked the social and historical representations. The relationships between official authorities and Transylvanian community spirit reflect the re-strengthening desire of Romanian social - politics condition, lack of an efficient reaction from central administrative representatives to counteract the violent phenomenon, there are only a few factors which point out to the existence of a violent atmosphere in 1784. On this tensioned background the rumours come true. In Transylvania some rumours were going around, difficult to be controlled that Horea was instigating the peasants not to accept the social duties, sustaining that the emperor himself said that, but the nobles refused to make them public. The rumours sent up by Horea were trustful for peasants because this person is worshiped by his travels to the capital city. The peasants’ behaviour at 1784 included "violent rituals" (highly praised) by Jean Delumeau and materialized by a massive destruction of some castles and aristocratic properties. The rebellion’s violence and vandalism at 1784 has changed the consciences, has amplified the insecure feeling and has produced a trauma in Hungarian national sensibility.
