Biografia protopopului Valentin Coposu, semnatar al Marii Uniri de la 1 Decembrie 1918

  • Subiect: The present biographical work shows the life and personality of a great man of Sălaj county, Valentin Coposu, the father of the famous politician Corneliu Coposu. Valentin Coposu was one of the first politicians of the country, to have fought for the national rights of the Romanian citizens from Sălaj. He took part to the historic Alba Iulia Assembly. As a representative of the election committee of Şimleu, he signed the Union of Transylvania with Romania. For this reason, in 1919 he was arrested and imprisoned in Hungary. After the Vienna Dictate he took shelter and he died because of a heart attack. This work is also meant to point out that Corneliu Coposu's historic background shaped his great political personality.
