Mărturii documentare privind reţeaua şcolară confesională din zona Orăştiei în perioada 1868-1918

Subiect: This article aims to highlight some aspects of Romanian religious education in the Orăştie area, namely those related to the school system during the Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy. We note that in this period education in Transylvania, the county of Hunedoara included, went through several stages, more or less favourable to its development. School system development is seen in this study in terms of that period’s legislation and it is based on the Law no. 38 of 1868. This is the law that led to the modernization of Romanian education in Transylvania, by implementing a practical and less theoretical education which was to form citizens capable and relevant to the monarchical regime.
