  • Subiect: 180 drawings from the collection of lithographs of Alba Iulia museum are reproductions of sketches made by the artists more or less famous of the time, some signed, some not, some showing houses that market the product made by model, some not, all promoted by magazines fashionable published in Budapest, Vienna, Berlin and Paris from 1890-1914. These lithographs by outstanding colour images that we provide a complete private collection of postcards illustrated with images of women at the turn of the century, gave us a chance to analyse the costume of the period called La Belle Époque and the opportunity to understand the era. That these lithographs and postcards circulated in the Romanian proves, on the one hand, for the Romanians in Europe, mainly in major European capitals and on the other, Romanian women wish to be acquainted with the latest information fashion in clothing and cosmetics since then. Interesting information in this regard gave us some issues of the magazine Cosânzeana in Alba Iulia museum collection where images appear not only similar to those in lithography but also extensive articles on different models and cuts clothing to skin care arrangements and hair, perfumes and accessories.
