  • Subiect: For completing the past of the community centre Gurasada, ancient Romanian village on the Mureş valley, known both by his valuable medieval church “St. Archangel Michael” and as the birthplace of the famous interwar historian and scholar Silviu Dragomir (1888-1962), the “Greek-Orthodox parish chronic of Gurasada”, developed by the parish priests Romul Iacob between 1928 and 1940, is an invaluable historiography source. The chronicle text includes brief accounts of events occurring in Gurasada’s parish church and numerous related information, regarding the secular past of Hunedoara’s lands, the local mentality, the agricultural potential of the village etc. Through this parish chronicle, church history is completed being enriched with new information.
