Heraldry and Art in the World of the Crusades States

Subiect: The paper is aiming at dealing with the history of heraldry and art in the world of Latin or Crusader States. On the one hand, the heraldry of the crusader states is, to this day, lesser known than European heraldry. On the other hand, while artistic activity was getting underway in Jerusalem sponsored by kings and Latin patriarchs, in Bethlehem the pilgrims to the holy site commissioned devotional icons for the church of Nativity.
