  • Subiect: Production and use of fire has its beginning with about 2 million years ago. Beyond its mythical aspect, the fire was the most important victory of man over nature. If at first it was lit directly on the ground without any special arrangement, with the times man has learned to build fireplaces and ovens, both inside and outside the house. Throughout history, the fire has had various uses: as a defence weapon, to purchase and prepare food, for hunting animals, in technologies that alter the raw materials (mining, metallurgy, pottery, in obtaining salt, glass, enamel, showers etc.), within the framework of practices and religious and funeral rituals etc.
