Sisteme defensive dacice în Depresiunea Şimleului (jud. Sălaj)

  • Subiect: This study tries to communicate and inform about three of the archeological objects much more investigated from Sălaj district: Marca, Moigrad, Şimleu Silvaniei. In connection with these we can observe a variety of using of different elements and sort of fortifications. Although the character of these three objects is different, among all these cases we meet the same systems and techniques of fortification, dated between 1st century BC and 1st century AD. All these systems and microsystems were specially created for protecting the settlements, dwellings from the imposing Măgura of Şimleu, the centre, nucleus, of an important and powerful union of tribes from the western extremity of Decebal's Dacian state.
