Ateliere paleolitice şi epipaleolitice de prelucrare a uneltelor

  • Subiect: The archaeological researches carried out up to the present times, provided numerous data concerning the workshops of carving the tools from the settlements dated in levailoisian-mousterian (Ripiceni-Izvor), mousterian (Ohaba-Ponor, Baia de Fier, Mitoc, Iozăşel) (Fig. 1), aurignacian and gravettian (Româneşti-Dumbrăviţa, Cremenea, Ripiceni-lzvor, Malul Roşu - Giurgiu, Ciuperceni ) (Fig. 2), archaic campignian (Lapoş), swiderian (Scaune-Ceahlău), romanello-azilian (Cuina Turcului - Dubova) (Fig. 3.), tardenoisian (Costanda-Lădăuţi, Cremenea - the second level, Ripiceni- Izvor, Erbiceni, Gîlma - Roata) ( Fig. 4.). The main feature of the workshops consists in the lack of finished tools as they were given in the exchange relations with the communities which did not have raw-materials of a high quality. Concerning the tools, it is ascertained the persistence of the pieces and of the techniques of carving from the previous stages, fact which shows the living continuity on the same territories. There were established three categories of settlements with workshops. Beginning with the middle Palaeolithic, one can realize an orientation towards different occupations , so that only some members were specialized ta create tools, fact that makes possible the existence of a labour division in the same human communities.
