Bordeie de tip Protodridu de la Bogdăneşti-Fălciu

  • Subiect: The archaeological excavations which have been made at Bogdăneşti-Fălciu, have given the opportunity of discovering three pit houses half deepened into the earth. All of them have rather a square shape; two of them have open fireplaces (B1 and B2) and the third has a stony fireplace. All the pit houses have a South aspect, the entrance being, probably, on this side. The fireplaces are placed on the opposite to the B2 entrance and on the same place to the B1 and B3 entrance. The little ceramics discovered in the pit houses is made at a potter wheel having a slow wheel round. As for the ceramics ornament, we must mention that it consists of winding lines, horizontal lines and winding lines alternating with horizontal lines. The degreasing substance of the clay consists of sand, small stones and mica. Owing to these facts we may say that these three pit houses belong to the Period of the Dridu Culture (between IX-XI centuries).
