Noi morminte din epoca bronzului descoperite la Poiana-Tecuci

  • Subiect: The authors analyse five graves from the bronze epoch discovered in 1989 when a Geto-Dacian tumulus was investigated. These graves were situated at about 0.25 m under the level of the main grave. Four of them were of inhumation and one grave displayed a cinerary urn (fig. 1). The clay vessels from the graves of inhumation have features that can place them in the phase IC2 of the Monteoru culture and the um from the grave 4 belongs to phase Ib (fig. 2-5). The authors consider that these graves belong to a necropolis of the same period investigated between 1928 and 1930. In the southern part of this necropolis a vessel specific to the phase IIa of the Monteoru culture was accidentally discovered (fig. 6). Taking into account these discoveries one can estimate that the necropolis from the bronze epoch from Poiana was much larger and lasted a longer time, that is Monteoru IC4-IIa.
