Noi determinări arheobotanice din România

  • Subiect: This article presents determinations of vegetal macro remains from 12 excavations in Romania and Republic of Moldavia. Unfortunately, for some of the macro remains the directors of the excavations have offered us only scarce information concerning the discovery conditions. There have been identified two new taxa for the archaeobotanical research in Romania: Crambe tatarica and Trapa natans. Determinations for the medieval necropolis of Hudum confirm earlier determinations and lead us to the hypothesis that in that period wine was produced in the North of Moldavia out of fruits of Sambucus nigra and that it was used in funeral rituals of the orthodox population.
