Muzeul de artă Roman, un nou început

  • Subiect: The Art Museum from Roman, founded 50 years ago as a section within the History Museum, initially starting from one artwork, the Portrait of Ştefan cel Mare made by Epaminonda Bucevschi, became nowadays a distinct institution, with a heritage of more than 800 artworks. 1970 was the year in which the art section within the History Museum was established in its own building under the name of the Art Museum of Roman. Its collection has various artworks signed by prestigious Romanian painters, as well as by several of regional importance, such as: Nicolae Tonitza, Alexandru Ciucurencu, Iosif Iser, Oscar Han, Ştefan Dimitrescu, Lucian Grigorescu, Camil Ressu, Theodor Pallady, Nicolae Dărăscu, Maria Ciurdea, Iosif Steurer, Constantin Isachie, Gheorghe Iliescu, Vicenţiu Grigorescu, Iulia Hălăucescu.
