Târgul meşterilor populari, activitate devenită tradiţională la Muzeul de Etnografie Piatra Neamţ

  • Subiect: Piatra-Neamţ Craftsmen’s Fair, inaugurated in 2006, is an annual event established in order to shed light over the work of the authentic Romanian folk artists. In the beginning, the first edition reunited about 40 artists that displayed their works for two days. Lately, during the last three editions (2008-2010), the three-day event hosted over 60 craftsmen, from all over the country, who presented their wood carvings, pottery, masks, needlework, home-woven carpets and tapestries, knitting, religious works and painted Easter eggs. Moreover, the attendants had the opportunity to watch the craftsmen performing in small workshops and to admire their skills. The fair also hosted folk music concerts, book presentations, debates and prize winning contests.
