Donaţia Colegiului Tehnic "Petru Poni" din Roman

  • Subiect: More than 1000 objects, representing the inventory of the School’s Museum from the Technical High school „Petru Poni” entered as a donation in 2010 into the custody of the History Museum from Roman. The museum’s fond consisted of historical objects (archaeology, history, medals, ethnography, documents, old book, etc.) and a library. The collection initially started as a personal hobby of the history teacher Mihai Andone, way back to the period when he was working at the Ruginoasa School (1960 - 1962, 1964 - 1979), continuing then on, since 1979, at Roman, though once with his arrival here, it was turned into a school museum. In 2000 the person in charge with the enrichment of the collection and the administration of the museum come to a close with his educational career as he become of age, as soon after several years, in 2010, in order to avoid its demise and items deterioration, the heritage was donated by the Technical College „Petru Poni” to the History Museum from Roman. As a main feature, this type of collection comes from fortuitous discovered objects, gathered from the adjacent villages in the case of the ethnographical items, in order to be used as educational material during classes.
