Un lot de materiale arheologice de la Rădeni (Neamţ) în colecţia Muzeului de Istorie şi Arheologie Piatra Neamţ

  • Subiect: The paper presents the artefacts that were part of the collection assembled at the Primary School from Rădeni (Păstrăveni commune), which was donated in 2007 to the History and Archaeology Museum from Piatra Neamţ. We described theses artefacts in a catalogue, without further discussions, as they were lacking any information regarding the context of discovery. The former school collection is a heterogeneous group of objects, covering a wide chronological range. Some special artefacts can be distinguished. We note first that there is a fairly consistent group of flint axes, which shows that in this area there must be a Corded Ware Site. Also, we have a small group of valuable metal axes: a Baniabic type axe, dated in the Early Bronze Age; a socketed bronze axe from the Early Iron Age; two iron battle axes from the IX-XII centuries.
