Cercetările arheologice de salvare din situl eneolitic Stoicani-Aldeni de la Fruntişeni - Fântâna Babei Ştefana (jud. Vaslui)

  • Subiect: The eneolithic site Stoicani-Aldeni from Fruntişeni was identified in 2006, throughout surface diggings and it is located near the south slope of the Pârlitura Hill, to approximately 500 m north-east of Fruntişeni village, Vaslui County. Between 25th of July and the 7th of August 2013 the first excavations were done and the first section S.1, was realized, having 20 m length and 2 m width and being oriented on east-west direction. There were discovered numerous pottery fragments, anthropomorphic statuettes, one of these being exceptional having the arms in a praying position, tools made from stone and bones. A house was revealed as well.
