Monede descoperite în Roman-La Piaţă

  • Subiect: In 2014, during the archaeological research conducted in the city of Roman-„La Piaţă” (Neamţ County) 6 coins were found. Of these, 5 pieces came from the archaeological layer, while only one piece was discovered in a complex (a stove). The coins are dated between the 16th-19th centuries and belong to: Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Lithuania) (1 pólgrosz.), Ottoman Empire (1 para), Russian Empire (1 denga), Roman-German Empire (Austria: Transylvania) (3 Kreuzer) and Romania (5 bani and 10 bani). The monetary finds discovered in the city of Roman during the archaeological research held in the years 2014 reflect an intense social and economic life of this borough in the medieval and modern times, coupled with the continuity in the hearth of the same city.
