  • Subiect: New Information about the Life and the Activity of the Inhabitants from the Argeş District in 1834 The author presents inedited information about the inhabitants of Arefu between 1833 and 1838. Various aspects of their political, social, economical and spiritual life are included. The conflict between the socmen and leaseholders or owners are solved by the high power in Albeşti. Other subjects discussed in the paper: the surplus of goods sold in markets. The most of the mills are placed along the waters from the flat mountain region: Şerbăneşti, Valea, Topolog, Argeş, Codeca, Turburea, Vâlsan, Salcea, Rânsatu, Salca and Rădăcineşti. The building of the house in life was a priority of the inhabitants. The majority of the fountains from the flat mountain region had drinkable water.
