Dogmă, erezie şi magie la Dunărea de Jos

  • Subiect: Summary: Along centuries, the human communities living in the area of the Lower Danube incurred danger in various cultural and religious forms. Both the literary sources and the archeological discoveries plead in favour of Christianity co-existing with a series of creeds, practices and antique rituals. Similar to the Roman provinces, the theology of resurrection emphasizes the fact that immortality is the supreme gift God made to mankind. The funeral eschatology of the communities is built on the theme of man's death and his posthumous destiny, regarded as a coronet of creation. That is why the true reward and punishment are continued in the life to come. Although there are resemblances and differences between heresy and magic, both of them do not abandon the domain of theological speculations and turn into a social problem, generating confusion among the believers. Due to the fact that they create multiple similarities with heathenism the Church classified them as belonging to the illicit supernatural domain.
