Din nou despre tezaurul de denari romani de la Buda

  • Subiect: Summary: A hoard containing twenty-one Roman denarii was accidentally found in Buda (Vrancea County). There are eighteen Roman Republican denarii (129-32 B. C.) and three Imperial ones (29/27 BC- 2 BC/4 AD) This hoard has been discovered near a settlement of La Tene type. The hoard from Buda was found in the east of Dacia, on the lower course of the Hierasvs (Siret) river and its secondary branches. Other fourteen hoards of Roman Republican and early Roman Imperial denarii have also been found in the same area, having similar monetary structures and their most recent coins dated about in the same chronological sequence. In the same geographical area have also been identified the large fortified Dacians settlements (davae) from Galaţi - Barboşi, Poiana, Cândeşti, Răcătău, Brad and Piatra Neamţ - Bâtca Doamnei. AII this in formation prove the economic and political power of GetoDacians living in this region in the 1 st c. BC and the 1 st c. AD as well as their complex relationships with Rome.
