Subiect: The final horizon of the Coţofeni culture in the hilly and mountainous area of Oltenia is present in several points, discoveries made in Vâlcea, Mehedinţi and Gorj Counties. The ceramics is discussed in terms of typology, material and decoration. The author of the article, using the typological system of Petre Roman, identifies 14 forms that conserve the Coţofeni tradition. The pots for carrying the liquid which were considered specific to the Danube are found in the area of our study. Looking at the decoration, we find some influences coming from the Kostolac, Vučedol and Yamnaya cultures.
