Comerţul în Râmnicul Vâlcea între 1821-1900

  • Subiect: This article is an overview of the trade in Râmnicu Vâlcea in the period 1821-1900. If at the beginning of the 18th century, this work is carried out with some difficulty due to the Ottoman monopoly, after 1830 the trade begins to develop slowly. The trade in Râmnicu Vâlcea starts to have a bloom, firstly with the reforms of Cuza, then with the accession to the throne of Charles I. I insisted on the trade in commodities: meat, bread, candles and spirits, for which the City Hall contracts with the traders. Unfortunately, those agreements were not always respected, and those who were affected were the residents of the city.
