Consideraţii asupra industriei casnice textile din microzona Bujoreni-Muereasca

  • Subiect: The variety of the textiles made in this micro-area by the women's skillful hands, gives us the opportunity to know not only the occupations and the way of life of the people in this region, but also the wonderful folk art that comes from the soul of those who did their best to adorn their house and clothes as well. Most of the craftsmen were peasants who were also involved in agriculture and livestock breeding. However, weaving was a domestic craft for a long time. Although there were blankets, rugs and towels on the walls in every house, each one brought something new. The women’s costumes are similar in both regions, with no essential differences. The women’s costume consists of an embroidered blouse, a skirt with aprons on both sides and on the head, a scarf. The folk costume is one of the vast domain and at the same time, of high complexity of the importance of the Romanian folk art. Being known the importance of clothing in man's life, the folk costume is a valuable document, and analyzing the elements it is made of, we are able to solve important problems of ethnogenesis.
