Casa tradiţională cu foişor din Vâlcea

  • Subiect: The Vâlcea turret house is situated among the most perfect Romanian house. Adapted to a mild climate as temperature, but changeful, to the turret house which is actually a living space, half covered band with the fruit-growing and viticulture region’s economical resources, the Vâlcea house it is perfectly integrated in the life and local landscapes. The Vâlcea house is one of the traditional houses which slips, maybe the best, the understanding of the turret house evolution from the mild climate of the area from the southern Carpathians. The Vâlcea turret house is presented under two main lines: the ground turret house and the high turret house. The lock-out tower is an important element which can serve at the elaboration of a classification of the Vâlcea architecture and especially at the definition of its own characteristics. By its architectonical appropriations and the great number of the encountered examples the turret house and the lock-out tower represents one of the most successful accomplishments of Vâlcea traditional masters.
