Activitatea diplomatică a sociologului Dumitru Drăghicescu

  • Subiect: The work of the sociologist Dumitru Drăghicescu from Vâlcea (1875-1945) is almost unknown, the only work that has received some publicity (and that in recent years because of a republishing) is “About the psychology of the Romanian people”, published in 1907. Starting from the fact that Drăghicescu Dumitru has worked since his youth in the National Liberal Party and was deputy and senator of this party, with significant contributions to the foundation of neoliberal doctrine, I found it necessary to do an overview of his demonstrations in the field of diplomacy. Therefore, we have highlighted the contribution he made in Paris in support of the national cause, his participation in the Conference in Vienna on April 24, 1924 and as a member of the Romanian delegation together with Nicholas Titulescu to the session of the League of Nations in 1930. But what we consider to be defining for Dumitru Drăghicescu‘s consideration as a representative of the interwar Romanian diplomacy are almost two years as a Minister Plenipotentiary of Romania to Mexico (1935-1937).
