Muzeul Gorjului şi rolul său în viaţa culturală (1894-2010)

  • Subiect: The museum of Gorj County was founded on July 16th 1894 on the initiative of a group of intellectuals led by Alexandru Ştefulescu (1856-1910), under whose patronage is now the institution, other members of the group being: Julius Moisil, native of the town Năsăud, who thereafter became a member of the Romanian Academy, the artist Witold Rolla Piekarski, of Polish origin, and the engineer Aurel Diaconovici, the head of the Technical service of Gorj County, native of Banat. In October 2009, the new permanent exhibition of the History Department from the Al. Ştefulescu Museum from Tg. Jiu was inaugurated.
