  • Subiect: The crucial moments in human life such as birth, wedding and funeral, besides the fact that they gave the occasion, to all the nations, to develop a series of customs and rituals since the ancient times until today, they also generated a valuable folk poetry with many meanings. All the customs and ceremonies related to the major moments in human life are seen as rites of passage. In every nation, they are deeply enrooted in tradition, which, moreover, they preserve and transmit in everything that can be considered characteristic. The habits from the life cycle or the passage rites mark the most important moments of the human existence. The age of these traditions and customs is different and with specific aspects for each ritual. These practices concern the individual's life and they are also called passage habits because each one of them brings a change in the life and condition of the individual. It has been estimated the existence of three stages in the fulfillment of those habits: the separation, expectation and integration of the individual in his new condition. The traditions proved to have a solid durability, but an evolution from the ceremony to the show was also observed. Acts of a different nature are imposed in the development of those habits: from the involvement of ancient beliefs to social factors.
