Repertoriul poetic al colindatului din Ţara Loviştei

  • Subiect: Our own field researches between 1997 and 2003, and then the research of the information and the poetic transcripts of the carols from the Archives IEF and of the specific references of the theme, encourage us to affirm that, indeed, the geographical wonder called Loviştea, is one of the most interesting and the richest folk areas, at least in terms of carols. We motivate the above statement, both quantitatively and qualitatively. On the other hand, qualitatively, the value of the repertoire is given both by the size of the texts, the richness of the motives, and by their variety and consistency, their grading and ritual function: almost all the repertoire compositions include at least one window or entry carol then a cosmogonic carol (or even more), obligatorily the High Carol, table carols, addressed carols, one exit carol and surely Ziorile. The specialized carols include texts for the shepherd, hunter, for the priest and mayor, for the forester, widow or widower and, in another register, the little girl and godmother, brothers and sisters.
