Un tezaur monetar de la 1848 descoperit în comuna Popeşti, satul Urşi, judeţul Vâlcea

  • Subiect: In August 2013 excavations were conducted at the church Annunciation and Archangel Michael, being discovered an important hoard, consisting of 99 pieces of silver and copper (14 silver coins were part of a chain), dating in the second half of the eighteenth century and the first half of the nineteenth century (1755-1848). The coins were found in the altar, at the proscomidion in a jug. Of the 99 pieces which form the treasure, 36 are made of copper, 48 silver and 14 silver coins from a chain. The coins have the following issuers: Maria Theresia, Francisc I Stephen, Joseph Maximilian III, Cristian Friedrich Karl Alexander, Cardinalul Hieronymus von Colloredo, Karl Theodor, Ioseph II, Francis II (I), Ferdinand I and they are from the following mints: A-Wien; B-Kremnitz (Kremnica), for Hungary; C-Praga, for Boemia; E- Alba Iulia, for Transylvania; F- Hall, for Tirol.
